You create departments (e.g. Cold Storage, Fresh Produce, Dry Goods), each with its own ramps, plus a list of cargo categories and truck types. A driver picks the cargo category and truck type on check-in, and your routing rules map each category to the department that handles it.
Yes. Ramps and departments are linked many-to-many, so a shared dock can belong to several departments and each department sees the ramps available to it.
You map each cargo category to a department once (Cargo Routing). From then on, a truck that checks in with that category is directed to the matching department — dispatchers no longer sort the queue by hand.
